Seajacks Hydra's Successful Float Test

Seajacks UK is pleased to announce that Seajacks Hydra completed her first load out on schedule this morning.

Seajacks Hydra will leave Lamprell Energy in Dubai mid-June and head to Rotterdam’s Shipdock. She is due for delivery to the North Sea in August 2014. She is currently jacked up beside the quay at Lamprell with preload completed and is will now continue jacking up to 11m air gap, in order to fit her thrusters.

Specifically designed to work in harsh environments like the North Sea and for Offshore Wind and Oil & Gas Installation and maintenance Services, Hydra’s design includes a DP2 propulsion system, 900 m² free deck area and a 400T crane.

Hydra is a similar GustoMSC NG2500X design to sister vessels Seajacks Kraken and Seajacks Leviathan, both vessels have worked in the Oil & Gas and Offshore Wind industries since they were delivered in 2009.
