Our fourth vessel, Seajacks Hydra, is a modified version of Gusto MSC’s NG 2500 X design, fully adaptable for work in both the Oil and Gas and the Offshore Wind industries. She was delivered on time and on budget by Lamprell Shipyard in Dubai on June 2nd 2014. She went straight to work on providing accommodation for the SylWin Alpha substation.
Seajacks Hydra has a HSE accepted Safety Case in accordance with UK Offshore Installation (Safety Case) Regulations 2005.
A HazOb system is fully implemented on-board with crew and visitors both suggesting any improvements and observing hazards on-board Hydra as the safety of any persons onboard Hydra is of paramount importance to Seajacks.
Seajacks also aim to minimise their environmental impacts on and off shore at all time. To do this we have a management system which keeps track and implements the requirements set out in the ISO 14001:2004 standard.
Along with Seajacks' 4 other vessels currently operating globally, Seajacks Hydra has the capability to work world wide, in up to 48 metres water depth. As she is fully self-propelled the need for additional tugs or barges is eliminated therefore reducing costs when compared to traditional jack-up barges.
Hydra has provided accommodation support at SylWin Alpha and commissioning support at Global Tech I.
