Projects Manager

As part of our continuing growth we are looking to expand our engineering and operations team in order to support our current vessel operations and develop our team in preparation for the delivery of our new build vessels and future projects.

The Projects Manager will be accountable for overseeing the safe and efficient management of the interface between our clients, the company project engineering department and the offshore vessels. Duties will include the coordination with our clients overseeing of the preparation of project plans and acting as the focal point for all project and client contact to ensure the cost effective delivery of our services to our clients.

This is a challenging position and requires an experienced Projects Manager with a strong technical background. The successful applicant will have substantial knowledge of project and operations management systems, gained through a minimum of 10 years experience at least 5 of which are in the senior role. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a history of successfully delivering medium to large projects either in the offshore oil and gas industry, the wind farm industry or onshore construction. The successful candidates will be rewarded with an attractive salary package and be part of a dynamic and expanding company.

CAD Technician

As part of the expansion of our engineering and project teams, Seajacks UK Limited currently require a CAD Technician for our Head Office in Great Yarmouth to work with AutoCAD 2D and 3D to produce full working drawings. 

The main duties of the position will be as follows:

  • Working closely with Engineers to produce AutoCAD drawings from rough sketches and notes 

  • The production of working drawings of the company vessels and associated equipment

  • Produce BOM's for any modifications required to the vessels

  • Produce technical marketing information for inclusion in brochures and tenders

  • Maintain the CAD Library

  • Keep directory of drawings

  • Work on own initiative and to tight deadlines

  • Data entry and general administration

Skills:

  • Holding a qualification in engineering or a related subject

  • AutoCAD 2D and 3D experience

  • Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with a hardworking and flexible approach

Motormen

Seajacks Merman Marine are currently recruiting Motormen for Seajacks dynamically positioned harsh environment liftboats.

The Motormen will assist with the operational maintenance and repair of all vessel equipment and machinery including main and auxiliary power systems, dynamic positioning equipment, jacking systems and accommodation services onboard the vessels.

Successful candidates will have excellent engineering skills, have good communication skills and the ability to maintain levels of stock and equipment spares onboard for repair and maintenance.

Candidates should have a minimum of an Engine Room Watch Rating Certificate, ideally with time being spent on vessels with dynamic positioning or jacking systems.

Lift Supervisors

Seajacks Merman Marine are currently recruiting Lift Supervisors for operations onboard our dynamically positioned harsh environment liftboats.

The Lift Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the safe lifting and movement of loads of up to 200 tons in line with Seajacks HSEQ policies. 

Duties will include:

  • Responsibility for using relevant information to and instructions to accurately identify loads to removed. 

  • Selection of the slinging technique appropriate to the characteristics of the load and the intended lift. 

  • Identification of difficulties in slinging and moving loads, and clarifying them with the appropriate person(s). 

  • In conjunction with the other members of the lifting team ensure that the correct slinging equipment is selected, and confirmation that it is suitable for the load(s) to be lifted. 

  • In conjunction with the Crane Operators ensuring the suitability of load(s) to be lifted and that all potential hazards with the lifting operation have been identified. 

  • Reporting defects and faults with slinging equipment, to the authorised person and vessel crew. 

Candidates should have a through knowledge of LOLER and PUWER regulations, have previous experience in the supervision of lifting operations in the renewable or oil and gas industries and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Chief Engineer

Seajacks Merman Marine are currently recruiting an additional Chief Engineer to support our current operations and to develop as part of our dynamically positioned harsh environment liftboat fleet expansion program.

As Chief Engineer you will have the responsibility for the operational maintenance, repair and administration of all of the vessels equipment and machinery including main and auxiliary power systems, dynamic positioning, jacking systems and accommodation services onboard the vessels. You will also be responsible for maintaining the regulatory shipboard certification records and ensure all systems are maintained to high operational standards and reliability.

Holding a Motor Class 1 (Unlimited) Certification as required by STCW 95 and with in excess of 5 years experience in a marine environment ideally with time being spent on vessels with dynamic positioning or jacking systems you will be a strong team leader, have good communication skills, a proven track record of HSE leadership, experience of budgetary management.

Extensive training regarding DP Systems and Jacking Systems may be available to exceptional candidates that can demonstrate transferable skills from other maritime sectors.

First Engineer

Seajacks Merman Marine is currently recruiting First Engineers for Seajacks two new dynamically positioned harsh environment liftboats.

The First Engineer will assist the Chief Engineer with the operational maintenance, repair and administration of all unit equipment and machinery including main and auxiliary power systems, dynamic positioning, jacking systems and accommodation services onboard the vessels. They will also be responsible for maintaining the regulatory shipboard certification records and ensure all systems are maintained to high operational standards and reliability.

Successful candidates will have excellent engineering skills, have good communication skills and the ability to maintain levels of stock and equipment spares on board for repair and maintenance

Holding a Motor Class 1 or Class 2 (Unlimited) as required by STCW 95 and ideally with time being spent on vessels with dynamic positioning or jacking systems, however, extensive training may be available to exceptional candidates that can demonstrate transferable skills from other marine sectors.
